Posted by

Summer weather calls for an ice cold, frozen drink. But a traditional margarita can come in at over 400 calories. The sour mix alone can contain a whopping 40 grams of sugar! Makes two servings

1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup of your favorite tequila
1 1/2 tablespoons Cointreau, Grand Marnier or Triple Sec
A dash of your favorite sugar substitute (to taste)

Combine all ingredients and shake with ice. Pour a little salt into a shallow dish. Drag a lime wedge across the rim of a glass and dip into the salt. Pour the mixture into the glass over some ice and garnish with a lime wedge. If you prefer a frozen margarita, like the one pictured, pour the ingredients and ice into a blender and blend to taste.
