Skinny Recipe: Sweet & Spicy Sun Tea

Posted by

Orange and cinnamon give this summer favorite the perfect blend of flavors. For greatest freshness, slice the orange garnish just before serving. This refreshing recipe was created for Equal by Tony Abou-Ganim, Modern Mixologist.

Ingredients

sweet spicy sun tea

2 cinnamon sticks
6 whole cloves
8 cups water
48 packets Equal® sweetener or 2 cups Equal® Granular sweetener (Spoonful)
6-8 orange pekoe tea bags
1 sliced orange

Directions

Break cinnamon sticks in half and place in tea ball with cloves. Fill a resealable container (glass jar is ideal) with water and Equal sweetener and stir. Place tea ball and tea bags inside the container and secure lid. Place container in direct sunlight for 4 hours to brew.

Remove tea strainer and tea bags and refrigerate for 2 hours. Serve in ice-filled glasses with orange slices for garnish.
